Each thin steel letter is custom cut per order. You choose the font. You choose the size. Then we cut it. Just for you.

How big is a letter?

Letter sizing is complicated. In most fonts, different letters have different heights, especially lowercase letters.

We size everything proportionally to an uppercase “B”. Because of this, some letters may be shorter or taller than the height you select.

These letters are both sized to 4 inches.

Description

Painted steel metal signs in standard or script fonts are easy to hang. The color of your choice can be applied to a powder coat finish, which gives the signs an elegant and durable look. Script and connected metal signs are laser cut from 20 gauge galvanized steel with smooth edges. Our wide range of letter styles, sizes, and colors allows you to design your own custom metal signs. All our designs are finished in durable powder coats, making them suitable for indoor and outdoor installation.

For a secure mounting, use hanging strips or nails and holes to hang painted steel metal signs. There are also options to drill 1/16" holes with which to attach your own hardware. Mounting strips can also be purchased.

The online design tool does not show the le tters connected in a few fonts. Depending on the font and the option selected for letter connect, the actual width will be smaller than what is stated. The connection will be very close to what was promised. If the exact dimensions need to be specified, pl ease let us know in the comments.

Phrases are not connected; only individual words are. Depending on the font type, the dot on the lowercase letter "i" may or may not be connected. We are available if you have questions or need custom work done.

Sizing

The letter height you order is based on the uppercase letter "B" of the font you specify. Depending on the font, some uppercase/lowercase letters may be shorter or taller than the height you specify on the order form so they will look proportionate to each other. Therefore, you may receive some of your lettering in different dimensions than the letter height ordered. If all lettering is ordered in lower case, we still scale the lettering to an uppercase "B" which will make most of the letters smaller than what was ordered. Please contact us if you would like to size your lettering differently from our standards. Please see examples below.
